Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere reportedly
played a huge part in persuading Jamie
Vardy to complete a transfer move to the
Emirates this summer.
Vardy, 29, who scored 24 goals in 36
appearances for Leicester City last season,
is understood to be edging ever closer to
signing for the Gunners.
Reports suggest the north London club
have triggered the striker’s £22million
release clause at the King Power Stadium.
Liverpool and Manchester United have
pulled out of the race to sign Vardy after it
became clear the England international’s
release clause only applied to team in next
season’s Champions League.

And, according to Goal, his Three Lions
teammate Wilshere has played a major role
in trying to convince him to make the move.
A medical is believed to be scheduled for
Sunday afternoon at the London Colney
training ground.
